Ky-Mani Marley, one of the best-known and wealthiest Reggae Singers was born on Friday, February 26, 1976, in Falmouth Jamaica. He was in Shottas along with another artist Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records where he recorded his first album in the year 1996. like Father Like Son and several singles: Judge Not with Patra then Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap Does It (remix) as well as Sensimelia each of which contributed to his rising popularity in the newest generation of reggae musicians. Ky-Mani collaborated with Praswell from Fugees in the song Avenue in 1997. The song proved to be a massively popular cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was a part of the Midem event (an international showcase of music) and was first held in Miami. Marley did a live performance in the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcast by Caribbean News Agency across 36 nations. Marley was the focus of bidding wars. In 1997, the singer was signed to Gee Street/V
